Question Fat guy has a question.

Hi all! I am registered to take the MSF BRC next month and am already wondering which bike would be good as a starter bike. I am 51 years old and weigh around 300 pounds. I like the V Star 650 but am worried about my weight. Will my weight have that much of an effect on what starter Bike I need? I want to drive my bike to work and this might involve a bit of interstate travel, etc. I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Nope. Vstar 650 will still be able to get you to get you a ticket even at highway speeds. 300lbs really isn't much for it. Now riding with a passenger MAY be a problem for it. Don't know what the weight capacity is on it but should be around 400lbs max weight.

Thanks for the input! I think I am going to go with the V Star 650!
