had the guys build a bike in a shed and then take it thru town at 5 in the morning on the back roads (the road mimicked the track they where gonna race on)
you could hear the bike coming before you seen it.(favorite part of the movie) i know it got a little hokey later on but was still a kick ass bike movie to me (no faggie biker boy crap)?: :confused

I know the movie your talking about. They went pro with the Bike and ended up racing it in the final race painted as an American flag. I remember him racing in one of the races where he blew the motor and locked the back wheel.... adding to the drama of the movie. Then his final race was against his nemesis, on a black bike. Not sure what it was, but while they were racing, the "villain" pulled a wheelie while they were supposedly going like 120 down the straight in the middle of the race. I remember thinking that was kinda hokey, and the story line was not fantastic.... but I remember the movie pretty well having only watched it once. It was a long time ago.... before I rode (at least 12 years). so it must have made an impression. I'm not sure what the name of it was either.
It was basically about a couple of backyard racers... one guy was played a phenomenal builder, and the other as a phenomenal rider, who were both trying to "get their break".

Are they still planning to release "Torque"? I wouldn't watch it, but I am wondering :confused
