Extended Warranty

What is everyone's opinion of the extended warranty. I just got a letter from Honda about there extended warranty offers for my 02 F4i.

Basically the plan is
12 months - $384.78
24 months - $431.42
36 months - $548.02
48 months - $664.62

Is it worth getting? Opinions



I realize its a Honda and I should never worry cause they are bulletproof, but just incase :D

I paid $399 for 2 more years after tax. I paid too much... dealers can give you a break on them for sure and you can purchase it at any dealer.

If you can afford it I cant see why not. Nothing wrong with a little insurance. Any bike, however, that is properly maint...Oh Hell What am I saying!? That's a Honda you could put sand in it with your oil and drop nuts and bolt in the intake and you still wouldn't kill that fucking thing!:):redflip

i would def buy it if u plan on selling the bike with in a year or two

I paid $482 for 48 months from Western Service Contract. It includes roadside hazard insurance (free tires when I get flats). You don't have to buy your extended warranties through Honda. The nice thing about the warranty I have is I'm not forced to go through a Honda dealer to fix my warranty issues. For instance, with flat tires, the warranty covers the cost of the tire and tax, so I can pick up a tire at any local shop (Kawasaki is closest to me), and mount it myself.

I wonder if I could do that on the mille...

take bike to track, thash race tires..hammer nails into em, get new on warranty, repeat :twofinger
