Going to trailer the bikes down there May 20th and looking for good areas to stay/ride. We thought we would stay at campgrounds in a cottage/cabin so we don't have to pull the pop-up (that way we can pull the trailer instead and take both bikes).
I was looking at Elkins or around there but not sure how that area is. It seems to be a good launching pad.

you might PM Zeos.. As for my advice, the only West VA thing I know, is to GET OUT! lol.. Just kidding..
I know the Blue Ridge Park or Blue Mountain Park, ahhh shit the Blue something is pretty nice for camping and riding but I herad they monitor the park for speeders..

What part of the state are you wanting to explore? Elkins is a bit north of me but I know some of the roads.

ST.N is having the national rally at Canaan Valley this year and several groups regularly gather in the Marlinton / Elkins area. Points of interest within easy riding distance include the Cass Scenic Railraoad, National Radio Observatory at Greenbank, and Seneca Rocks.
