how well will the RM250 engine fit into a RM125 frame?
broad generalization as i know there were many years the rm125 has been produced, but year for year... i'm not sure of the year of the bike...
I'm looking at a older rm125 that has all the parts to have it running except the wrist pin for the piston...
the bike is owned by my neighbor, who is quite the bike nut and has been a mechanic for i would say over 30 years...
the bike is in rough shape, but for what i'd be using it for, its perfect... and for $175, its well below budget...
the 125 engine looks fine... will that be plently of engine to have fun with or am i doing right to consider a larger engine?

if the motor is running in tip top shape it will be plenty to have fun with!

it will not fit at all without a lot of work and fabricating! the engine bay is way smaller on the 125.
sorry to disappoint.

put it in the go cart..
Think much bigger :D
minimum size engine that is going in the gokart is probably going to be 400cc... i'm hoping for a nice 600cc+ engine to pop up for a cheap price...
its going to be one hell of a machine!
i've actually been trying to learn 3ds max so i can draw up some blueprints and such...

You can have lots of fun with that 125 man. Especially someone of your size. Pull that throttle back and let that power band rip open and youll be holding on for dear life....:laughing
A 250 will have alot more power though. But no need in trying to modify your 125 frame.

125 is plenty i am 5'6" 180 and i have to litterally hold myself on my kx250 so if you are smaller wieght wise than i am you will have a blast on a 125 ps if you want to dump it off on someone i will get it

The best M/C lesson I ever learned was on a 2-stroke...
On 2-stroke, when on a wheelie ...... DONT SHIFT!

Dude... get a red powerband... they are pretty fast...
Yellow is the fastest, though!
