Edit: this should have read 6/28, not 6/29
This will be a short, fun ride to The Cabin on Hood Canal. Some of you have been up the road, but none of you have actually been to The Cabin. The ride itself will be fairly short, so the day will actually be pretty chill. It's a short, easy ride up, followed by a couple of hours of chilling in the sun, followed by the same route back. If you're looking to rail or ride all day, this isn't the ride for you. If you're looking to get out for the day and relax, you may enjoy this. I'm going with or without a crew.
Leaving Canyons in the morning, although the time is TBD at this point. It won't be early; probably around 10:00 or so. We'll catch the Edmonds/Kingston ferry and hit about a 10 mile stretch of twisties (be careful -- this road eats bikes). After that, we'll drink a beer and enjoy a rest in the hammock or sit on the dock and look at the harbor. When we're all ready, we'll head back. Round trip is only about 100 miles.
If the weather is shitty, this will be cancelled. The road is treacherous enough when it's dry, and shitty weather makes hanging out much less fun.
This is an open invitation.
