I notice the other day that i'm having a hard time applying my
rear brakes, i mean i basically have to slam on them to slow
down...the fluid is normal...i have plenty of pad left on the brakes
i did have the rear tire replace last week (M1) . is there a way
to have them tighten....tks for any input

They shouldn't be that hard and there's no adjustment.

I'd get it checked as what ever it's doing it can only get worse.

I'm not sure if it's possible on that bike but I've seen a wheel get put back on once with the rear disk between one pad and the pistons instead of between the pads.

The bike I saw it on never went out like that but I bet it'd do what you describe.

How's the stopping power once you stomp on it?

They work if i press down hard enough, it's just not what it
use to be after they change the tire out....there was some
sticky substance on the tire...some they might had put on...
i wonder if that substance got on the brakes and now it's more
slicky and hard for the pads to make solid contact

If they got a foreign substance on the brakes, possibly some axle grease or other, you can clean it with a good brake cleaning solution. That should enable you to "lock it down" again.

It may be somthing on the Pabs/Rotor or maybe its just a coincidence that it happened after the tire change and they just need a bleeding. Good luck:thumb
