Yup Brewster Ko'd him.......

http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...ory?id=1779954

I don't know bro his brother and him as a team (trainer and all) would probably put Vatli at the top....
Going thru all this I almost forgot about that fight last week but since I don't have cable and have to watch recorded tapes I can see where I probably forgot

The heavy weight division isn't looking that well right now is it ?

Lewis should take a rematch, the money would be there the fans want to see it. Vitali was fucking him up but the DR called that fight. Lewis was a self centered ass and I guarantee all the Americans would pay good money to watch Vitali pound on him.

Timy,
happens to most people for a little while and then they just train harder fighting leftys so it's not as noticeable. Most have worked it out of themselves by the time they come up. Not a real problem though because they have one of the longest reaches out there and can keep people at bay while they learn more.

he was on his way and the ref stepped in. You do realize you have to punch back when someone is hitting you to win a boxing match right?

Pipino Cuevas was the hardest punching WELTERWEIGHT.
Punchers grow on trees in Mexico and I saw him fight when he was just a 16 y/o kid on Spanish broadcasts from the "Arena Coleseo." His left hook was devastating and fighters used to fold-up like accordians when they got hit by it.

No welterweight could take his left hook. Even the vaunted chin of Sugar Ray Leonard would have succumbed to it.

I don't know bro they seem to still jave that problem.....they have the reach....but so most heavy weight fighters there hieght and size....Especially since a left opened up Vatli's eye agianst Lewis....Brewster took one of out with a a parade of lefts....Sanders took one out with a hard left....it seems to be nothing but the same evil putting the choke hold on them the LEFT HAND....but I still stan and say Vatli is the force to be wrecked with....could you imagine Chris Byrd the unfied heavy weight champ How ould you have a heavy weight champion with no really punching power.....I believe Morales or Gotty or Ward hits harder then this guy and I ain't joking either

That may be true in the welter weight division (which I don't because Sugar Ray Robinson started as a welterweight and he was knocking guys down from body shots in the first round) but that is still a hard pill to swallow considering all the great hard hitting welter weight fighters in the history of boxing especially since most of these welter weights moved up one or two classes and were still hitting as hard or even harder then there higher weight class counter parts.....but even if he was the hard hitting king of the welter weight division he still wasn't pound for pound the hardest hitting fighter....

That title belongs to George Foreman...He was slow but if he tagged you you were going down....it didn't even have to be a flush blow(ask Ken Norton or Frazier) just contact was enough....I seen practice work outs with this guy hitting a heavy bag and he was folding it with every blow and two guys were holding it
Rumor has it he wore thru 2 heavy bag in the Ali fight in Africa(they were on auction a while back I heard)....that is something you just don't see everyday...especially just from one guy after only 3 weeks of punishment on each one

If you want to talk about hard hitters then we have to talk about Sam Langford.

http://cyberboxingzone.com/boxing/langford.htm
http://www.infotechnology.org/blair/sam1.html

The man fought his last bunch of fights nearly blind. He would listen for your feet on the canvas then tag you. He is also my brothers great great uncle.

Flex I'll check out that article and see if I can get it to my grand dad he probably heard of him.....my grand pops trained me and all his kids and the kids in the nieghborhood how to box before I joined Silk City Gym and then Lou Costello gym in Paterson NJ....He got a guy (you may have heard of him) Reuben Hurricane Carter into his first pair of boxing gloves. He visited my grand pops in the old folks home the same month he got out of prison a while back he gave him a picture of him and Denzel Washington on the set of the movie....My grandpa said "you should have beat him up and took his money so we could have went to Atlantic City"

If you are talking Heavies, then Earnie Shavers is the hardest punching ever. I think his win/KO record was something like 66 wins and 63 of those were kayos. Ali was hit by both Shavers and Foreman and said Shavers was the hardest puncher he ever faced and hit him harder than anyone. Sometimes the hardest punch recieved in a fighters career is not one that puts him down, especially when he has a chin.

The hardest punch I have ever seen any heavyweight hit with was when Shavers landed his right hand on Larry Holmes. Holmes fell backwarded like a bomb had exploded right in front of him. He hit on his back so hard he bounced back up into a sitting position. Holmes beat the count and to this day has no recollection of the punch and the round afterward.

So is Sanders going to hang up the gloves now? I thought I seen something on the net saying he would only be fighting a few more fights and that was if he was winning.

I haven't boxed seriously in a ring since I was about 19....but I was never a serious boxer it was more like a karate class for me....Something I did to keep out of trouble....but boxing isn't what people think it is all cracked up to be....The longest fight I had in the ring was 6 rounds and after 3... 3 minute rounds a pair of light 12 pound gloves turns into 50 pounds of bricks....It really shows that it takes alot for a guy to knock his opponent out after anything over the 6 round....glove get heavy full of sweat....holding up your hands is a challenge in itself....breathing gets heavy(one tell tale sign of knowing how a fight is going to end up is look at the fighters breathing....if one starts breathing heavily out his mouth 9/10th of the time he'll be the loser in a late round fight) but everything else was sparring..... Boxing is definitely my favorite all time sport.....It's definitely a sweet science
