Thumbs down Lake Shore Drive

The Matthews Sydicate ride today was not that exciting. Myself and Redcell took a trip to Lakeshore Drive in Denver N.C. The rode itself is very curvy but, between the traffic and pedestrians you cannot go fast enough to make it interesting. There is also to many gravel driveways slinging rocks into the street which can make for an lowside if your not careful. If this road was anywhere else but next to the lake it would get a. Due to the location i must give it a.

I never checked that road out even though it's pretty close. never knew of much of anything around denver. If I knew you were going up there though I would have recommended Killian Farm Rd off of 16 just south of 73 (leads up to 73 on the East side of 16. Also, you weren't too far from Black Snake Rd which is a definate must hit if you are in that area. It's off of Stanley-Lucia Rd going towards stanley.
I found a very nice Road myself today while looking for another road in the davidson/mooresville area. I was out looking for a road called Alexander road which I found in the car once. Turns out it's a little bumpier than expected on the bike but still a few nice curves. But on the way back exploring some roads I found one off of the Coddle Creek Highway (where the Earnhardt building is). It's called Johnson Dairy road. short but sweet, nothing too exciting going west to east, but east to west is a blast on that road.
