Speeding tickets how many? how fast?
This is for motorcycles only...not cage tickets.
In the first part of the poll, answer how many tickets you have had. in the second part, tell how fast you were going over the limit. you can answer more than one, so if you have one for 10 over and one for 30 over you can click both of those.

One for 50 in a 35 when I first got out here. Freakin' biker cop pulls me over and starts talking bikes while he writes me up. WTF?
It's pretty tough to get a ticket out here. I got busted for the first time in 4 years about 2 months ago. The cop was like... "Dude, you were HAULING ASS back there..." He seemed more astonished than angry.

None on my bike, few in the truck when I was younger.
I think it helps when you get pulled over to have a respectful attitude. I've been pulled over twice on the bike and both times the cop let me off just because I was polite. But the boobs could have helped too!

I've gotten some
My 1st one was for 97 in a 50.
My 2nd&3rd was at once. 1 for cutting across a parking lot and 1 for going the wrong way up a street.
My 4th for doing 57 in a 45.
Not one of them are on my record. All have been fixed or ajusted.

I am from England and over there as long as you don't go above 90ish you are ok unless you are a dick and pass the cop and don't make any effort to slow down. Me and my buddy went past a cop at 95 in SC. He just pulled out and followed us until we took the exit then continued on his way. We were out of state so maybe that counts ??

Nice Cop
My ticket a few years ago was fortunately by a nice cop. Pulled me over for 97 in a 55 after trying to catch me for 5 miles (no I was not running). He luckily realized I didn't know he was back there on the twisty road we were on (got a smile out of him when I told him I wasn't to concerned about someone running over me from behind
After a couple of minutes of talking he wrote me up for only 10 over (65 in a 55) if I agreed I would go to traffic school which is only 4 hours of your life. I had no problem with it as that also keeps the ticket masked on your driving record from the insurance company.

I hate to tell you but that is a misconception a lot of people have. Taking the Safety Course takes the points off your license but the insurance company still has the record showing you got a ticket.

Sheriff was real cool about it because I did not have a lic. at the time but did have insurance. He just said nice bike checked me for warrents told me to slow down and said have a nice ride and be safe. I lucked out big time

72mph on a 60mph main road. 3 points + £60 fine.
Hidden GATSO camera, actual human plod round here don't tend to bother when the speed is OK for the conditions.

Zero tickets.
I've been pulled over twice and both times I've been sent on my way with a (not undeservedly so since I should have seen the cops both times) "pay better attention and be careful out there".
I would never get away with that in my car or truck. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with my attitude. I'm respectful and polite no mater what I'm driving, it's just that cops seem to so far cut a lot more slack on the bike.

My worst was 101mph in a 40mph zone.
I've had a bunch since I got the R1. I got lucky with my first bike and was let go alot, but that luck ran out. I believe I've had 4 tickets in about 6-8 months. 1 90mph in a 55mph in my cage. That was my latest. I'm teetering on loosing my license.
Only 1 actual speeding ticket on my license and that goes away next spring. But not for insurance reasons... Which is why I just had to sell my car and buy a POS to drive.

Actually, here in TX, it dismisses the ticket entirely. Just like it never happened, or you fought it and it got thrown out. Some jurisdictions don't even keep a record of whether you have taken it in the past year, so you can do it as much as you want. And on top of that, you can still turn in the certificate from the course for the 10% insurance discount, if you aren't already getting it.
