Damn. I was kinda hoping Sanders would win. Oh well. The fight I'm waiting for is the Roy Jones Jr. one against Tarver.

Sanders was so out of shape it was pitiful. Some nice exchanges in the second round but Vitali is a giant and has stamina. I like how he called Lewis out, damn I hope that rematch happens.

You got to hand it to Sanders, though. He showed a lot of heart.
And it only took one left hand to make Vitali stick to working behind his jab.

I like in the postfight interview how Vitali said, "I tried to fight him in the second round and learned it was not a good idea."

Yeah but there are alot of one punch fighters out there, they never last. Vitali was in excellent physical shape. Anyone can brawl, real fighters can go the distance and still make it interesting. He learned not to fight him in the early rounds is what he should have said. Because in the latter they were going toe to toe and you could see all the work from the earlier rounds effecting Sanders(power body punches)

Actually, the rarest thing in boxing is the pure knock-out puncher, which is what Sanders is. The whole left side of Vitali's face was mess-up by one punch. Sander's two best punches of the fight were just a bit off target. The one I just mentioned and the first one right in the center of the mouth in the first round. Either one of those shots land on the chin and the results would have been quite spectacular.

Rarest yes because it is not a good way to become/stay champ! Boxers who are smart fighters and use everything as opposed to a guy like Sanders ( who looked like a piece of shit ) that want to wait for the 1 punch knock out! Like any street fight you always have some loser that thinks he is going to Tyson your head off with the 1 punch

Even so there have been some great ones. Earnie Shavers, John "The Beast" Mugabi, Julius Jackson, Alexis Arguello, Carlos Zarate, Thomas Hearns at 147 and 154 pounds, and of course the hardest puncher pound for pound that ever lived, PIPINO CUEVAS.

Cuevas defended the WBA welterweight 11 times sucessfully knocking 10 of his opponents. His left hook was the hardest punch to ever grace the welterweight division. Pipino Cuevas was nothing but a pure knock out puncher who knocked out his opponent in 31 of 35 wins.

Do not sit here speed and tell me you believe that Pipino is pound for pound the hardest puncher ever.....
There are so many greater punchers and harder hitters before this guy....The American Boxing Asssociation came up with a list 2 years ago....It consisted of....
Goerge Foreman,Rockie Marciano,Thomas Hearns,Marvin Hagler,Mike Tyson,Joe Lewis,Jack Johnson,Roy Jones Jr,Ken Norton,Aaron Pryer,Alexis Arguello,Jack Demsey,Sugar Ray Robinson,Joe Frazier,Sunny Liston,Earnie Shavers,.....
and just for kicks they added John Sullivan and Jersey Joe Wilcox
And on every list Foreman has always comes on top as the hardest hitter pound for pound period......

Sugar Ray Robinson's record was 128-1-2 with 84 knockouts at the pinnacle of his career. Amazingly, in over 200 fights, Sugar Ray was never physically knocked out (though he did receive one technical KO). Altogether, he amassed 109 KOs, and finished with a record of 175-19-6 with two no-decisions. World champion Muhammad Ali called him "the king, the master, my idol." In 1997, The Ring magazine named Sugar Ray "pound for pound, the best boxer of all time." More recently, in 1999, the Associated Press named him both the greatest welterweight and middleweight boxer of the century.....now that is amazing

I finished watching the tape a friend made for me of the fight....

That wasn't the Sanders I seen beat the Crap out of Hasiem Rahman a couple of years ago....That diffently wasn't the same guy that won the title last year either.......

The Klitsko brothers are in a state of zen right now in the boxing world.....Lewis is gone...Europeans are over joyed they can see some real boxing....Chris Bird is a Joke....Holyfield is done....Tyson is crazy.....Roy Jones doesn't see any way he can profit a big purse fighting either one of these guys.....The only person they need to look out for is James Tony and he's getting old....Galotta is back but it will be some time before that train wreck gets back on track.....I don't see these guys lossing steam any time soon....

(SideNote)

There will be no rematch with Lewis cause he knows his only big purse oppenents will only be Jones and Tyson....And ones ego is to big to really get anything done and the other has a mind of a 2 year old......So the Kiltsko brothers will be the king lions in the boxing world for a long time unless someone knocks them off there high horse....

(edit forgot Vladmir got beat down last week)

The only big fight that is worth seeing in the heavy weight division that I can think of is them both fighting each other ...and they said that will never happen....

The heavy weight division is a joke right now....there is probably only James Tony....Lewis is gone,Tyson is in his own world....Jones doesn't see a real purse fight agianst Vitali or Vladmir...he won't get a fight with Tyson or Lewis.....Chris Bird is a joke....So is John Ruiz...Holyfield is nearly dead...Galotta if he gets his act together may be half the fighter he once was...Hasim Rahmon might as well retire...

These guys don't have much in the terms of competetion....so they maybe top dogs for awhile....

(edit: forgot Wladmir lost last week badly)

Don't ask me to explain ask every boxing expert and all boxing announcers and boxing analyst that question...they have all written him off....1. he is a weak puncher..2.He's boring 3. He maybe fast but runs to damn much...I want to watch a fight not a marathon...Please don't tell me you thought that fight with Holyfield was exciting or even a pinnacle career fight His loss to Ikeabuchi was better then most fights I seen him in.....

I can't believe anyone who has been watching boxing lately or in the past is even asking this question the guy is a joke and a paper champion.....I bet if Tyson got two brain cells rubbing together he would knock Bird out in the first 10 seconds of the first round and that's even if Bird takes the fight This dude is chasing John Ruiz and your asking me to explain how he is a joke looking forward to a fight with Ruiz is a joke in itself I want him so badly to take that fight with Vladmir agian(even after his loss last week he still could beat Byrd agian IMO)but I know he isn't cause he knows that will be one more straight up ass whopin'

Uh, vitali looks good but vladimir just lost last week right? Everyone thought vladimir would pound sanders too. I guess the brothers had a good talk on how to approach him this time. Plus vitali wanted revenge badly. Can't wait to watch the replay next weekend.
