I talked to a friend of Brock's he said it was an NOS explosion.

From Brock himself.
Here is my typical response:

It was a simple Nitrous Hiccup....We run nitrous in the clutch lever. Let the lever go and add about 125 extra HP!
Too much too soon- BOOM! On a Car, the hood blows off...on a late model downdraft engine bike, it's the gas tank.

My hand is fine....that was a piece of plastic flying from the ram air tube.
I grabbed my chest because the tank cracked my sternum...it did hurt!

I am completely healed/unharmed.
