I don't think there were too many external changes to the ZX11 motor. so 1990-1999 ZX11 motors will fit.
the ZRX 1100/1200 motor is based off the ZX11, so it should fit, and the new ZZR1200 is based off the ZX11 also(145RWHP:thumb), so it should slide in.

You will have to stay with the ZX motors. The ZRX motors are sidedraft heads and will NOT fit. I think the sprocket offset is different on the C and D models. I will get more info for ya later, or send ya link for a good ZX11 board/
