Anybody else have a slipping clutch that makes a funny noise when taking off from lights intermittently?

I know exactly what you are talking about, I have experienced the same prob. Dosent do it all the time but I havent taken it in about it yet. Guess I should considering my one yr warranty is up soon,

ok i had the problem too. by buddy at the suzuki shop got a kit that cures the problem. i dont know the part number but it is availible from the dealer and a GOOD machinic should know about it

The clutch was upgraded on the 2002. If you have this problem with an '01 model, you can find some details on performing the upgrade yourself by clicking here

If it is slipping...and not toast from YOU slipping it I would pull it and examine it. (after warranty is up)

You may need aftrmarket/stronger clutch springs. Not a major deal-

Ive had it to the dealer 5 times, 3 times at one and 2 times at another, I have had 2 complete new clutches in the bike and only have 6000 miles on it and now my warrentie is up.

Theres a fix? maby they will install it even tho my warrentie is up since ive had so many probs with it?


P.S. New cluthes made NO difrence at all, I imediatly knew the prob was still there a few miles after leaving the dealer.

As far as me burning up the clutch, come on man get serious Ive had 4 Gsxr's and not one clutch prob.
