Just had a new processor and motherboard installed.

Any of you comp geniuses want to walk me through reinstalling my os by using messenger?? [email protected]

Windows Xp.

If its XP, just put the disk in the drive. Make sure BIOS is set for CDROM as first boot device and restart with the XP disk in teh drive. Make sure you have teh Key handy. Then watch it and it will ask you if you want to partition teh drive (your choice) and follow teh instructions.

When I do that it says, "disk boot failure"

its still trying to boot from the hard drive, and it doesnt have an OS. change the boot order in the bios.

They forgot to plug the hd into the motherboard.. :laughing I think this gives me an excuse to go back and speak with her.
