- 40 years working as a waitress in bars/restaurants

- never smoked a cigarette in her life

- diagnosed with lung cancer

- 6 to 36 months to live

She "sued' and was awarded an undisclosed amount.


What's your opinion? I don't think she should get a penny.

she knew it was there, and she chose to work there...

they get paid to do a dangerous job, they know the risks..

This is hard to prove. Studies have shown that second hand smoke can lead to lung ca, but there are some non smokers who just develop it. It really cant be proven, but is likely that she developed it from being exposed to the smoke.

As for the asbestos, no one knew of its dangers back when people were exposed to it. Asbestos is in many of the buildings we inhabit or work in and is completely safe when it is just sitting there. Its when it gets kicked up into the air that it becomes dangerous, and thats when people wear the protective clothing.

In about 20 years we will see a sharp increase of mesothelioma in people around the NYC area and people involved in the WTC cleanup.

I was going to mention the whole mcdonalds thing. Thats prety sad since the advertise the "nutritional" content of their food, so its not like you dont know this stuff is so high in fat cholesterol and sodium. Odd how they went for the biggest fast food chain as opposed to BK or Wendys or something of that nature.

I know someone tried to or is suing Mcdonalds, I dont recall if he won or the case is still going on, but I didnt hear about the others. The dumbass should just spill some hot coffee in his lap and do it hat way these idiots shouldnt be breeding in the first place:shake
