Well, I got the body work done, the bike is drilled, but not safety wired yet, waiting on new tires for most of it, and I drained the coolant system for the cold front that moved through.

Steering Damper, 1.0lbs/inch fork springs, and vortex clipons are in the mail, and should be ready for install when I return from San Diego next week.

Now, if I could only afford a shock/tires.

Here's some pics of the new paint job.

...Speaking of which...

I came up with this the other day after discussing some fork dynamics with a "specialist" the other day. This is for CBR1000RR forks with a 1.0 kg/mm spring, but is very similar for other forks.

Basically what this shows is how the air gap in the forks affects the overall spring rate and force required to compress them.

Rear shock is on order, once TD gets it in, they will set it up and ship it off to me!

Racetech said .98 or so was right for my fat ass, and I'm getting these springs second hand. So, if money holds out well, I may make the day at jennings, if I can get out of work.

I'll know more after the 1st though.

Call it ugly all you want, at least I can repaint it for 15 bucks.
