True a kiss is nothing unless you care for the person. Remaining friends over something so small makes sense to me anyway.
If your married: no! You must bang..............because if your opposite finds out they will accuse you of boinking anyway, so might as well shag! If your single: no! You must bang...........because that's what the guy want's, always.....unless he's a "***"..........wake up for god's sake!! Screw!!!

Absolutely. My best friend of about 5 years is male and we have never done anything more than hug or a friendly kiss on the cheek.
Thats what I'm saying. If its more then a friendly kiss then your not friends in my mind.

nooooooooooooooooo he is like a brother...I know he is very attractive, but honestly James, I forget about that because I see who he is not what he looks like. He is a good friend I am lucky to have....

See this is a case of a male/female friendship.

James
I have many a female friends that nothing has ever happened with.

As for the REAL question at hand... maybe, after a nice long time out :D
Yes. I have quite a few male friends that I would never hook up with and that I've never fooled around with. Never gone past a friendly kiss (yes you can kiss your friends on the lips... and it's much like kissing my mom or my dad... meant as a caring gesture).

I wasn't going to go there but since you did... +1

maybe a nice long, long time out.
This guy will hang around for as long as there's a possibility that there will be more. In the meantime, he will enjoy having someone to talk too. And the resistance/ succumbing to emotions can be very stimulating. Bring this thread back up 1 or 2 years from now and we'll see if this "friends" business still applies.

Excuse the previous obnoxious post...........lame attempt at humor:D
I have a few female friends that I rate as my best friends - I have been best friends with one for the last 18 years. There's nothing about trying to hook up - we have different tastes in who we want to sleep with.

It's not about hooking up with your friends - sometimes there are friends that are more important to have in your life than to lose over a failed relationship.

I know I'm bad. I'm just not in a PC mood tonight AND I speak the truth.
Once you put a tougue in someones mouth its not a normal friendship anymore.

Or it's a friendship that got off to a bad start. It's not the end of the world.
When I was younger and single, I only hung around with girls in college. It was tough, though. There were 8500 women and 1500 men and I was becoming a teacher where I would be one of the guys in a class of 20-25. I had female roommates for a year. The sad thing is that many of the girls who I was really, really great friends with I would end up having sex with. The good thing is that we still remained great friends. We had no choice because we saw each other all day every day.

I never lost a friend because we fooled around. Usually, we talked and laughed about it and fooled around again when I wouldn't hook up at the bars.

I agree with you... but if it's not right you can return it to a friendship. It might take time and a lot of space but if you were truly friends to begin with you should be able to get past that.

One of my best friends started out as a boyfriend 10 years ago. He's now married, has a child, and his mother still keeps pictures of me on her walls. He's quick to tell me he hates or likes my boyfriends. I'm quick to tell him how I feel about his choices. He treats me as a friend and vice versa. It took a lot of time but we respected each other enough to want to continue to be friends.

I guess the real question is what you want out of it.
