And, just so this thread isn't completely worthless, a few pics along the way. A bit of local scenery:

Way to go Aquarello, I would hardly call that a windshield, the mits are a great idea, First to be an iron man.. I had planned my trip for this Friday, we are having record warm temps here in New York this weekend.. I will have to wait..

Did your feet stay warm?

An excellent example of how to submit verification Aquarello.

If someone asks me what kind of photos are needed to receive their certificate, I'll refer them to this thread. A pic with you in it would have been nice too. Adding that little extra touch of discomfort :D

Little extra touch of discomfort? I'm not that ugly.... :nanana

I'm rarely in any pictures. I travel alone 99.999% of the time, and I'm not comfortable handing over several hundred bucks worth of equipment to someone I happened to see walking by on the street, and I'm too much of a perfectionist to sit there explaining how to take a good picture... :rolleyes

People laugh at me for the mitts, but they're usually the ones that aren't riding. :laughing

My feet stayed warmer than I thought they would. On cold days, I wear a pair of dress socks with thick wool socks over that, and steel-toed boots. My feet rarely complain.

Of course, it's all negated by the open-face helmet. :2twitch
