Woo-Hoo, What a way to start the year out. Got a ticket for passing in a no passing zone. Was just capping off a nice 50 mile romp on some local backroads and heading for home, when I came upon a slow moving dump truck on a desolate 2-lane road, and zipped on around it. A few seconds later I noticed a "Bear" in hot pursuit with lights-a-flashin (he literally came out of no where!) and my euphoria quickly turned to disgust! Made it 5 hours awake into the new year and got a $150 ticket and 4 points on my record. :dumbass Ah well, I deserved it as it wasnt the first time I've done it, and along with many a brisk illegally paced rides I figured it was only a matter of time! Wont be doing that anytime soon!!! 1st ticket on a motorcycle ever in nearly 20 years riding.............:slap :cry

Yeah, I dont know what's worse.....the $150 fine (what happened to $50 tickets anyway? Is there such a thing anymore? Or is that from a time long ago?) a tarnished record, or the fact that Murphy's Law dictates that I will get a 2nd ticket that much quicker!:eek

i did the same thing last year, except I passed to cars doing the speed limit. Luckily, I was back in my lane and on the brakes by the time he got the radar gun on me. Only got a ticket for illegal passing, which turned out to be 1 point and a $50 fine.

I wish!!! But this "state trooper" runs the area around where I live and my bike aint exactly "inconspicuous".....he probably would have drove straight to my house!! And the last thing I need is one of them on my property:badass :laughing

oh that sucks that he knows you. thats why I don't run from the cops in the small town where I am from cause they all know me and my parents so if I run they will just be waiting on me when I get home. Now another town, or state or county they are fair game :redflip

Smart. Risking your life (or arrest) to avoid a ticket. :rolleyes
