Oh, 2 more things.

#1 - I was the first to post in the new NC forum here and they have MORE posts than me!

#2 - my sister saw the pictures of Riptool and Steve and her comment was "that first boy is 'riding' the motorcycle, the second is "owning" it..."

She's 55 so she's allowed to call us boys.... But she called it!!!! :redflip

Yeah, we do know the road ;) That's the first part of being fast. If you know when to go fast thru a corner or go slow thru the corner that's half of it. For example, I've been to NFMP three times now. The last time I went down there to do nothing but work on improving my times, though it was fun...I went down there to work damnit! LOL Well, I got all warmed up for the first two sessions. The third session I made up my mind it was time to turn on the heat. I exhausted myself I was pushing so hard. My best time was a 1:28. Well, I decide to follow Melk-Man's lines after he passed me and low and behold...2 seconds dropped of my times!!!!! All it was, was lines. I wasn't leaning harder, or throttling any more or less...just learning some different lines.

SOOOOO, the more you guys come up here the faster you'll get ;)

what Clay said, but also for the flat landers...youll gain something up there you could never get riding local and thats confidence. After I think 7-8 trips since sept of 2001 I have improved so much!

The first ride up there this year Donnie was in front of me and I couldnt catch him, after getting up there and riding with more ppl, watching others ride and getting pushed a little here and there. I am very very happy with my riding ability. It just opened a new chapter to the life of motorcycling for me. And I didnt even have the intention of getting to this level.
