I will never again go to that store.

In August, wife and I made the jump to cell phones. Hers was fine. I went through 4 phones before one worked and I had to drive about 150 miles total to finally get a phone that worked. Someone from the store would call another store, get the thumbs up, and I'd go. Get there and the damn thing wouldn't work. Took a week and finally solved the problem.

Jump to today. I bought the wife an Ipaq for Christmas. It was supposed to be here Monday. Went in on Monday and they said "the truck was full and it'll be in Wednesday morning." I go in today. Stand around for 45 minutes waiting to hear something. Guy comes over to me and says the truck was too full again and it didn't make it in. It's 1/3 the size of a shoe box!!!!:mad Now, it's supposed to be here Sunday--FOR SURE!!! I told the manager he was full of shit and that I'll never shop there again. He didn't bat an eye, but that's how things are there, I guess. They did tell me if I felt like driving to Indianapolis they had 2 in stock. I told him to "go fuck yourself and give me my money back or get the fuqqing thing. IT WAS A GIFT, DUMBASS!!"

I hate that place and won't be going back. Their customer service sucked ass and if it's not there on Sunday, I'm gonna freak.

I bought a big screen TV from them a year ago. I got the huge bastard home, and moved into the house. I opened the box, and what do I see? The screen is smashed out of it. Had to load it back up and take it back, and start all over again. :( They were very nice about it, but what a pain in the ass.

In their defense, this is an incredibly busy time for them.

Sounds like some prety shitty customer service, usually they will throw you something to try an dmake you feel better, or they figure fugg itthey already lost you as a customer.

I agree, Best Buy sucks major ass. 2 days ago I wanted to buy a TV for my bedroom and decided to check out all the elec stores within a couple mile radius on the Berlin Turnpike (major developed area here). I went to Best Buy thinking they'd have the best deal. The only one I saw that I liked for the price was an Advent 20" flatscreen for $159. Wouldn't you know it---they had none and wouldn't sell me the floor model. When my salesman asked another salesman about it he proceeded to very rudely tell me I shouldn't want the Advent.....I should buy the Daewoo (gimme a break). He was a complete dick, and told me he didn't work on comission so he didn't care what I bought. Well, asshole, how 'bout I don't buy anything here?
I ended up going to Bernie's (where I bought my 32" WEGA) and getting a deal on a 20" Toshiba flat screen. Great little TV for $209 (price was $229), and the sales guy was actually pleasant. I'll never set foot in Best Buy again.

they've been good to me as a customer so far, but have you guys tried Circuit City??? same thing as BB.

:crackup - sounds somewhat similar to what I experienced at Ace Hardware.. They were trying to tell me that they havent unpacked 2 soldering tips off the truck - you know how small those things are?? Lazy dumbasses! Luckily, they called me back 2 days before Christmas saying that my -oh so large-:rolleyes shipment was ready to pick up! :laughing aye yi yi..

I'm not crazy about best buy either.. I much prefer Circuit City anyday over them.

I can't stand the fockers at Best Buy either...but stupidly I continue to shop there. They have great prices and usually the best selection, but let's face it...their employees suck donkey balls. They suck donkey balls because all they are trained to do is suck donkey balls. They have no education, and they are hired because they live in a sh1tty world and put up with sh1t all the time...therefore they know how to deal with irate customers.

It's not Best Buy's fault the phones were bad, but when I drive 75 miles because they said they checked the phone and it worked just fine, asked again while I was there after they resealed the box and they said it was fine, again, and I get home and the phone won't power up. When I called back, the moron told me he gave me the wrong phone and the "good" one was still at the store.

We dont have BB's Circuit City stores in canada... but we have futureshop... kinda the samething (canadian version) and its the same thing there........ the problem is not the store... they have everything (when its accually in stock) and they'll match prices....but the salespeople dont have any skills in selling (most of em).... all about negative selling, bashing competitors, lies, and honestly, they dont know what the fuck they're talking about. I am a salesman myself and I took a consulvative selling class so I know about salesmanship... they have none (from what i've seen). Customer service is not any better.... cause the employees have a shitty salary so they do a shitty job :shrug.

I still buy there but I research my products myself and if they are the only ones that have it ill go there and say I want that... if they try to sell me something else ill tell em to shut up and just let me buy it. I've went there for my digi-cam, they had it... so I went to the display (where the salesman was) I was 17 then. I picked it up, asked him if he could load a battery in it so I could try it, he ignored me and went to another customeron the other side of the display that arrived after I did. I impatiently waited for him to be finished and he came back to me, I again asked to try the camera with batteries, he said that there was no charger for the battery installed so that only people interested in buying the camera could try it.... :mad I took my money out of my wallet (1200$ in 20's) and flashed them in his face... said "What's your name? your manager's name? you work on commission right? WELL SINCE YOU HAVE ZERO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS AND NO KNOWLEGE OF SALESMANSHIP, THIS MONEY WICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SPENT HERE ON A CAMERA WILL GO TO THE SONY STORE ACROSS THE MALL!" Then left.... came back half an hour later with around a grand in sony products from the sony store... came to him, flashed the products in his face and told him he lost my sale and mentioned everything to the manager saying that alot of people would know of their poor service... the manager wasnt any smarter but had better customer service manners and apologised... never seen the salesman again in the store. I only shop there now if there is no other place around with the same product.

The truck was full? I doubt that they pack the truck floor to ceiling. I find it more likely that they are covering their asses because they forgot to order your item in the first place. I hate ordering something online and paying extra for next day delivery only to get it two days later because the order was processed the day after ordering. :mad

When ya'll get seriously bored check out bestbuysux.org.. I worked there for a year and seen more than my fair share of shit.. I wont shop there unless I truly have to .. and the ONLY thing i buy an extended warranty for is game systems.. other than that their service is :shit

Most electronics stores suck. The salespeople are usually college kids that are just trying to get discounts on their own purchases.

I do agree with the Best Buy Scam. Buy something like a digital camera, get the replacement warrenty. In about a year, it dies. They then replace it with something of equal or greater value. One of my friends upgraded is digital camera three times that way.
