Bad assed. That bike looks really really cool.

the windscreen covers the entire front of the bike.

Things I liked:

Almost same size as the FZ1
A real seat
Awesome seating position
Bike feels like it weighs 300 lbs
real sport bike wheel sizes

Things I didn't like:
Swing arm looks crappy.
Exhaust welds look cheap and are visable
stupid video game dash.

This thing BURYS the hornet 600 IMO.
I've not ridden either but I know which I'd be more inclined to purchase.

I am not a fan of the new 599 from Honda. I think it looks cheapish and not typical Honda quality. I like the FZ6, aside from the swingarm.

I sat on the 599 today. I did NOT like the way it looks or felt, particularly in arrest-me yellow. :shake I can't wait to take a look at the FZ6. I just wish they had given it fully adjustable suspension.

yeah, I saw an FZ6 today out here in San Diego while I'm visiting family. It just dosn't flow to me. I like the bike, except the front end. THe 599 is nice, but MSRP is way to high for what the bike is.

Oh well, sucks to be here, gorgeous 70 or so degrees, and no bike :doublefin figures though.

Can't wait to get back to Virginia and my bikes.

I saw one in a dealership about a week ago. I like it, but it seemes too big and upright for my tastes.

When I had seen the "perfect" profile pics of the bike on the yamaha site I thought it was an awesome looking bike but seeing "real-life" pics I think it's actually not that good looking. Last night I thought it was just plain ugly but this morning I think it's alright. Silver is definitely a nicer color on it.

It looks good to me, and yeah, most swingarms really aren't an attractive part of any motorcycle, IMHO.

I had read that Yamaha was only going to bring in 2000 of the FZ6's to the U.S. It will be interesting to see how they sell. Looks like it would be a great standard bike to ride, handy for commuting, priced to compete with the SV650, and hundreds cheaper than the 599.

I'm going to go check one out tomorrow at the dealer, just for fun.

the silver looks better than the blue one that I saw yesterday. The swingarm dosn't flow with the bike, the rest of the bike is very curvy and swoopy, then they back it up with a striaght box swingarm. But the SV,katana,GSXR6,FZR,YZF6R,F3 ect all have a box swingarm. So its not uncommon, just the braced swingers are getting more commmon.

I think a swingarm off of the new R6 would look sweet as hell on it.

It just stands out more because of the underseat exhaust ....IMO if they're gonna make it with that exhaust system, they should really do a little bit to make the swingarm flow with the rest of the design....

i will agree its not the nicest swingarm they could have put on there but thats what makes it good for us. ZRX tubular swingarm etc... braced etc... that would look very nice. evan a braced JMC boxed swingarm would look very nice. the ol banana swingarms would look really nice here too. (tzr etc..) :D :p :clap
