ROAD RACING - Michael Jordan Team Set
By Henny Ray Abrams
Pridmore, Rapp, Stewart 12/22/2004

Michael Jordan Motorsports will make its on-track debut at the Daytona tire tests January 3, the same day that the team is officially announced, according to several people with knowledge of the tests.

Jason Pridmore, Steve Rapp, and Montez Stewart will share one Jordan Brand-backed, Yoshimura Suzuki-equipped Suzuki GSX-R1000 during the three-day test, January 3-5. The Suzuki will likely run in Superstock trim for the first test. For the 2005 season, Pridmore will concentrate on Superbike and Superstock, with Rapp and Stewart focused more on Superstock, though they’ll also make appearances in the Superbike class...

Cool, good for Mike... Good for Pridmore also, since he had an obvious off year.
:thumb Thats good news.

yea, a whole season off playing golf with jordan and being flown around in private jets
If you really would rather be racing, I'd guess that sucks. The fact he wasn't offered any rides last year has got to suck. At least it seemed as though no one wanted him.
i was just kidding, but when your chilling with jordan like he was i imagine the term "i'd rather be..." loses any meaning
Just chilling or sucking ass because he's a potential sponser and one of the most recognizable figures EVER? :laughing
am i the only one that thought of it like that, guess not... guess a guy has to do what he has to do for himself, but i wonder if jordan wasn't a gazillionaire if he would have the slightest interested in being his best friend and following montez stewart everywhere
who's following Montez?? Pridmore?

I'm sure if he didn't have the potential to hire Pridmore and be his sponsor he wouldn't waste his time.
At least now he have guys that will finish in the top 10.

yea pridmore, when i went to VIR and south boston everywhere i went i'd see montez, look back 5 feet and theres pridmore, i'm assuming they weren't all buddy buddy until jordan's money rolled into the paddock
If Rapp is leaving Valvoline, then who's going to fill his place?

Maybe next year Clay...we gotta some big speed to find this year if we want a real ride!
:laughing I don't ever expect to get a ride like that. :p
Hopefully those two new additions to the Jumpman Team will improve what MJ wants to accomplish in the short term, but in the long term he'll have to sign some better riders. That may be a problem since those riders like to ride only factory produced bikes.
Chill,
There are riders out there that are every bit as good as the factory guys. They just don't have the same equipment! I think Geoff May is one of them! Or maybe Larry Pegram. Pridmore is one of the best "privateers" there are, though. With Jordan getting trick stuff from Yosh, I think Pridmore will be doing REAL well next season!
Jordan's team doesn't have to win all the races, all they have to do is be consistent and they'll get noticed. Last year while montez was hurt Pascal Picotte filled in 2 races i believe and he finished 7th in one, i'm pretty sure. The second race he had to retire cause of bike problems but still 7th place in the first race is not bad.
If Suzuki and Yosh give MJ full support then it will be a awesome season.
