Hey guys, I'm in the process of building a customer fiberglass tail for my F4i (link in sig). I'm looking at different types of wire to create a frame that I can lay the fiberglass on and paint the resin.

I used to use chickenwire or MDF board when I did car audio installs - do you guys use the same stuff? What do you use to create complex curves and sharp folds?

Thanks!

I used foam with clear plastic film on it to makje some glass parts. Coated teh part with resin, then after tacky, put pre-soaked glass over it criss crossed.:D Wasnt pretty but it didnt need to be. Foam was easier to take out than a wood frame. YOu could scoop it out piece by piece.:D

getting some hard foam and shaving it down it prob the best and easiest approach to it. MDF is a PITA because you prob have to build it up before sanding it down , too much work IMO
