Riding around yesterday I tried taking my hands off the handle bars, not very far they were still hovering close. A few seconds later they started wobbling pretty voilently?

Whats up with that? Is something out of alignmet?

You either need tires, new head bearings, or head bearings tightened.

The last one is free if you can do it yourself before you go spending money.

How many miles on the front? If you haven't had a problem recently and it just started happening and you haven't been "beating" the bike than I would say you more than likely need a new front tire..

the bikes got 16,500 miles on it... I have only put 100 on it. My first 100 miles on the road in fact. I will check the head bearings. The tires LOOK pretty new.

Yup. One of these is your troubles. Head bearings are usually it. If U be doin wheelies then its most likely that.

A nice steering damper works nicely as well. haha
