Just saw on NBC4 news this morning this statistic. I tried to find it on their website but I guess it's too soon to have it listed there.

Since the beginning of the war, 259 military have died in Afghanistan. However, 350 military deaths have occurred here at home due to motorcycle accidents.

I'd rather ride a bike than go to war.... but still, numbers are numbers. Death just sucks.

That's right! The only commonality between the two statistics, other than death, is soldiers. Ban the soldiers, and you'd immediatly reduce the leading cause of death among soldiers. :D

In the most recent Sport Rider, Andrew Trevitts editorial was about the high number of riders returning from service getting dead and injured. Guess when you have people shooting at you day and night doing 120mph wheelies in rush hour traffic doesn't even raise the pulse.
