Has anyone tried these? I like the look, and the push button release for the shield.

Performance Bikes, a British rag, did a pretty comprehensive review of helmets a little while ago and ranked the OGK's high. They considered them the poor man's Arai. The even thought the Aeroblade was almost as good as an rx7rr Arai in comfort and ventilation. Apparently the OGK's have great ventilation, are very comfortable, and the shields are easy to change. The testers didn't rank very many helmets highly. The top were the Arais, next was Shoei, followed by the OGK's, all within a few tenths of a point. The test was done by price level using a scale of 1-10 in various categories like comfort, ventilation, and ease of use . I think they thought the Shoei's were all overpriced from what I remember, and the OGK's were by far the best value.
I have one and it is very very comfortable. The lighter helmet makes long rides just that much more fun! Ventilation!!! Oh Damn!!!! Don't wear it in the winter. The air goes right through. The helmet is perfect for hotter temps. The shield is very wide you get an excellent view and yes the push button release is the easiest. Much easier than the Arai in both releasing and putting the shield back on. The fit is great. Here's my comments and pics when I first received it. http://www.cycleforums.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=64010&highlight=OGK

Gorgeous lid! Do you know anywhere you can get a tinted visor?
I just saw them at the Cycle World show. The guy says the new FF-4 (?) is different than the European version, though he wouldn't tell me in what ways. They have a lot of liner size options and the guy fit me with a perfect lid in 15 minutes or so, where nearly an hour at the Arai stand got me sore ears and frustration. I think the liner material is much nicer than the RX-7 Corsair (I shave my head so I'm very aware of liner quality!) and the lid retails for half the price.

I don't really care for the graphics that they're sending to the U.S. market, though.

To give you an idea of how custom fitted these things can be, I wear a large shell with a 15 mm liner and 26 mm cheek pads. They've got 3 or 4 thicknesses of liners and pads to chose for each shell size.

I'd rate the helmet just behind an X-11, but better than the RF-1000 and not far from the Z-Two. It's much nicer than the Arai. For the money, I'd get an X-11, but if you see one you like, or if you just like to be different, it's a great lid. Honestly, if they had one that I thought looked a lot better than a Shoei I'd get it based on aesthetics, and I'm not very driven by that sort of thing.

Ok. So I hear good things and I am thinking of getting one.

I don't have the luxury of having one custom fit. I'm in Canada.

Suggestions? :(
I have the FF3 and couldn't be happier with it. My previous lid was an Arai Quantum, and I prefer my OGK. Now I know it's not the RX-7, but the features of the OGK is right up there with quality, weight, and ventilation. It's definitely a good lid worth looking into. :thumb
Damn, I really want one, but I can't justify the expense. Yet.
I love those helmets, I found a good price on them:
