IMO, in the open forums it's fine, what's 1kb of text gonna take up in drive space and bandwidth? Just don't push it around into other forums where you're supposed to stick with the topic at hand.

If post whoring is banned, what would be the policy to enforce it? Would posts need to be a certain length, or contain a certain number of characters? We all know that anyone who wants to post whore will find a way to do it. So really, how could it be banned, other than by banning members??

z brings up another good point, this forum is for off topic posting. If someone starts whoring over in the tech or kneedraggin' (to name two of many) forums then that would be a problem. I don't really see the harm in carrying on meaningless chat in an environment set up to do so.

The open forum is about having a good time, bsing with friends, giving each other a hard time, having good conversations that don't neccesarily pertain to bikes and just generally kickin back and having and relaxin.
