We talking Gratten or Gingerman? I'd prefer a weekend, but can swing some time off.

I also have a canopy (Mel's family garage sale :) ), and a trailer.

I'm definitely in! Plus it'll give me a deadline to fix up the fizzer!

Doesn't matter. I could do a weekday or weekend. But, I'd like to get a weekend a lot of us can go! :thumb
I suppose that weekends would be busiest, so weekdays might be easier to book.

This far in advance may be a moot point though?

I think I woiuld definitely feel easier going with a group...as long as I'm not the ONLY track noob! :eek

If I know ahead of time, I'm in. Wherever. Got my trailer so I can get a few extra bikes over there. I think we'll probably have a group of people for a few of the days.

And don't worry Dave, you won't be the only noob! :thumb

+1 I think what we are all saying is "WHERE ARE YOU DWIGHT?!?!" :laughing If he can't go and there are other track noobs, I'll still be good.
I went thru and picked out all the weekend days for both Gingerman and Gratten. Figured I could take a Friday off easily enough. I didn't consider the LED days, but there are some of those in addition to the dates I listed.

Gratten:

5/1 & 5/2; 6/5 & 6/6; 7/3 & 7/4; 8/14 & 8/15

Gingerman:

5/8; 8/20 - 8/22; 10/2 & 10/3

I've heard more people talk about Gratten for bikes, and the layout looks a bit more fun/challenging. I'm sure Dwight could give more insight...if he would POST!! :p

If I had my drothers, I'd say lets shoot for the first weekend in June (6/5 & 6/6). I presume it give us a better chance of dry weather, plus I'd like to have some saddle time before hitting the track, if you know what I mean. I also figured we could head up Friday night, snag a room and be ready to go before the sun rises...ack! What's the point? I'll probably not sleep at all, the night before! :shrug

So what do you say?

Sorry guys for not posting. Been a little busy the last few days. :) I'm digging the enthusiasm though. :D

Looking over the schedule, Monti has A LOT of Grattan days this year. :clap
I'm in for May 1st (May 2nd is the Holly ride)
Possibly Gingerman (even though I like Grattan better) on May 8
Possibly the May 17th LED at Grattan
And then either the 5th or 6th of June at Grattan is good too. :thumb

Then I like to pick something up in the Fall but I'm not familiar with those tracks listed for LAbor Day :shrug
Mid Ohio (which I've never been to) on April 24 might be worth considering. :shrug

I'll probably buy the membership soon for the low membership number :p but I think we can wait a few months to decide and sign up for actual track time. ;)

Mid-Ohio is a VERY nice complex. :thumb Although I've heard that it is a tough track due to all the asphalt to concrete changes in the corners. Something to consider. Also might take a peak at a ride out to Beaver Creek in PA. I've heard that's a pretty nice facility. :shrug Regardless, I can't wait! :D
I'm out for Memorial or Labor day, as we generally trailer up to Mel's family cabin.

I'll be at Mid-Ohio (usually the last weekend of July) for the races, but I doubt I'll be able to get on the track...unless I sign up for Code's cornering school. He is usually there the week before the race. Hmm...now where did I put the $1500 I had lying about? :confused

I'm game for the first weekend in June and quite possibly May too. I just don't have any desire to have my first trackday be wet. I'm a big baby that way! :redflip
Noob track question #1: What is a limited endurance day?

And, I am probably out May 1st as I am planning on going to the Holly rally.

"INCREASE YOUR ON-TRACK TIME BY 50% WITH A "LED" (Limited Endurance Day) EVENT. LED's Allow Intermediate & Advanced Riders To Run Rotating 30-Minute Sessions All Day Long. "A little bit more money... A LOT MORE TRACK TIME!' (Please note that LED Events do not offer a Novice Group and are for riders with previous track experience)"

If you go to Grattan on the 1st you'll be home by 7:30pm. Isn't that enough time to go to Holly on the 2nd? :shrug

mb.
Well, that excludes me form the LED then. :laughing

I suppose I could make it to Holly that next day (do we know for sure it is on a Sunday like Suzie's was). :shrug

Gratten is much better, but gingerman is still nice too. Gratten is almost for riders who really know their stuff and is definitely more challenging than gingerman. My $.02 is prolly worthless since I've only had my car out there, tho'. :shrug I'm too chicken still to get out there on the bike.
I'll probably be in - weekend or weekday is fine. Just pick a day with good weather! :p
Definite track-noob here, looking forward to his first time at Gingerman!

Provided I'm off work, I'm up for any and all track days at Gingerman in 2004. :D
I could also get up to Grattan...it's not that far from here...in fact, it may be almost the same distance to both tracks from here.
OK, it's official...I'm signing up for Gingerman on May 8th. Hope to see a lot of you there! ;)
:clap :clap I could drag my lazy butt out to watch... Kudos to you guys :laughing
