Stupid clutch!! I think... help!!!

Ok, so I was up visiting the folks for the last week and a half, come back to hop on the TLR this morning and the thing won't start! In neutral, clutch in, when I push the starter it just doesn't sound right. Almost like , well, like something's just spinning and not doing anything. After about 15 seconds of this spinning I got a big backfire (at least I'm getting a spark), kept trying for another 10 seconds and gave up. I then decided to try to bump start it, but when I pulled in the clutch in first and tried to roll it backwards, it stopped like I didn't have the clutch in at all! No matter what I did, I couldn't get the clutch to engage and roll it. I guess that electronically the bike thinks the clutch is working (it wouldn't have tried to start otherwise), but physically something's not happening. Any ideas on WTF is going on? Is the not-starting thing and the clutch thing related, or am I doubly screwed?

kinda sounds like the clutch plates are stuck together. maybe try starting it with the clutch pulled in while in gear to see if you can get the clutch plates to spin freely.(hard to explain)
good luck:confused
sounds like bad gas and your disc lock is still on..

Just be careful the bike might start moving.
I wish it was bad gas and a disc lock... it's just not going. The clutch plates thing sounds good, I know when I leave it all day and go to kick it into gear without shaking it and squeezing the clutch a couple times it'll be a pretty bad THUNK from the sticking plates. Not sure why that might keep the bike from starting, but hopefully that's it. I don't like the idea of having to have my bike towed somewhere to have someone look at it after spending tons of dough at Christmas...
check out www.tlplanet.com

theres a HUGE forum there dedicated to the TLR/TLS enthusiast.. they may know EXACTLY whats wrong and how to fix it..
