My 02 R6 is getting pretty close on it's 4000 mile service. I can probably change the oil and filter and easy things like that. But I have no experience in adjusting the valves or anything more complicated.

Anyway, I got quoted anywhere from $189 (+ parts) and $395 from the dealer :(

How much did you guys had to pay?

Go HERE to download the chapter on maintenance of the service manual...check the chart at the beginning for items to be addressed at 4k miles, then decide if it's worth it...don't let them tell you you need things when you don't.

Did they have a plan for that at your dealer. We have it here. U buy it for like 800.00 and U never pay for that stuff. Bring it in for the life of the bike. Its a steel of a deal. If U work them u can get it down to like 500-600 bucks like me. :redflip
