I am getting all of the cold wether gear that I need but now I need recommendations on waterproof boots. I want something with a sporty look and a thicker sole for walking comfort. I have vert IIs for trackdays but I need something for weekend trips and commuting.

I also have a pair of A* Ridge boots....I wear them once in a while, I don't like the toe box on them---too big.

I have a set of Columbia Snow boots.....they are extreamly warm and waterproof. I have also used scotch guard and my regular Alipinestar boots. That made them about 90% water resistant.

The oxtar matrix boots rock and they're completely waterproof

I've got some Frank Thomas boots. They're water proof, comfy and cheap.

After reading this review and subsequent responses, I am now seriously considering the A* Effex.
