I had a rear wheel bearing go bad on my ZX-7. The entire bearing actually came apart. The problem is the outside of the ball race is stuck in the wheel. Does anybody have any idea of how I can get this peice out so I can throw the new bearing in?

two things...you can try and find a socket that will fit inside the hole in the wheel yet hits the race. Get a good hammer and bang away. You could also use a wide flat blade and bang it out the same way. (both methods require you to go in from the opposite side of the wheel.

When installing new bearings...put them in the freezer. Goop up the wheel with a bit of grease and tap the new ones in with a socket that's big enough to catch the outer race. Tap slowly and evenly.
