I keep getting this error message:

SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDrivers.VDD Virtual Device Driver Format in the registry is invalid. Choose "Close" to terminate the application.

It's very annoying, please help make it go away!

Thanks

My buddy believes it has to do with a device driver that is present but the device is no longer connected and it's still looking for it. Did you remove any hardware from the PC recently?

Also, it could be that the driver itself has become corrupted.

Either way the message involves the system registry and isn't really good. When is the last time you re-installed windows?

What version of windows is this by the way?

It's a virtual device, not a physical device. If you read that article I posted, it explains much better. :)

Did you just install Norton Antivirus?

Read this article...there are a couple resolutions at the bottom.

Well, I went through the steps as listed, but there were no values to delete. So I entered four zeros for the hell of it & the window stopped popping up. (for now) I'll ask to update our Norton & see what happens.

Thanks!!

While I was typing this I heard the error box open but the box itself is not there, pretty funny.
