WILL 1998 ZX9R WHEELS FIT A 2002 ZX9R? IF SO WHATS THE DIFFRENCE? ARE THE 98'S BETTER OR WORSE?

The answer to your question is no.

Rims that are interchangable:

1998 - 1999, they do not fit any other year.

2000 - up, as far as I know anything 2000 or newer is interchangable.

Sorry the '98 rim is no help to you.

I think I may still have a rim off my 2000 ZX9R in the garage somewhere. If your interested let me know cause if not it'll just end up on ebay later.

Actually I have both. I think I had sent you some info a few months ago about them. I sent Matt3310 a PM about them but haven't heard back.
I have a rear off a '00 ZX9R. The center section and the spokes are black, the original owner polished out the outside 1-2 inches on either side. It's in good condition with some small scratches on the very outer lip cause I change tires myself and I am not always super careful. The polished areas might need to be buffed a little if shiney is what your looking for.
I also found a front rim, green, not sure what year it is originally off. I will look into it and see if I can find out. It does have a slight bend in it though.
These are just rims, no rotors, hubs, cush drive, sprocket....just the rim.
