Cuddle Party Rules
WHAT TO WEAR: Pajamas - nothing too risqué. Think more comfy than sexy. (More drawstrings, less lace. No shorts.)

WHAT TO BRING: A pillow or stuffed animal if you like. Juice or sparkling cider is always welcome. Sorry, no liquor folks. Otherwise, just bring your smiling self.

STICK TO THE RULES:

Rule # 1 - Pajamas stay on the whole time.

Rule # 2 - You don't have to cuddle anyone at a Cuddle Party, ever.

Rule # 3 - You must ask permission and receive a verbal YES before you touch anyone. (Be as specific in your request as you can.)

Rule # 4 - If you're a Yes to a request, say YES. If you're a No, say NO.

Rule # 5 - If you're a Maybe, say NO.

Rule # 6 - You are encouraged to change your mind.

Rule # 7 - Respect your relationship boundaries and communicate with your partner.

Rule # 8 - Come get the Cuddle Caddy or ME if there's a concern, problem, or should you feel unsafe or need assistance with anything today.

Rule # 9 - Tears and laughter are both welcome.

Rule # 10 - Respect people's privacy when sharing about Cuddle Parties and do not gossip.

Rule #11 - Keep the Cuddle Space Tidy

Rule #12 - Thank you for arriving on time.

Some of the rules have me going :confused some :crackup and some I think are :nutz Why attend a cuddle party if you're not gonna cuddle? You just want to watch? :eh

I have some self esteem issues and feel a lack of affection lately, but I'm NOT going to go to a cuddle party in attempt to help resolve those issues. Something about strangers.....

That being said, can I just have a huge CF group hug?

In college, my best friend and I were hit on constantly... you know, college and all. So when we'd politely say , "No Thanks.", for what I would say were about 5 guys in a two month period all would reply, "We can just cuddle.".

It didn't work for them, but nevertheless, I still send her a message every now and then asking, "Wanna cuddle?"

Cuddle Parties started in NYC from what I remember, and started showing up on Craigslist.

I've seen them on Craigslist and have seen tons of comments from peopel saying they are for old dudes to get their cuddle on with younger chicks. The psychology behind this scene is beyond me.

I guess it could work for the socially awkward, but generally, cuddling (in my book) is a precursor to sex. Unless sex has already happened, in which case cuddling is me simply trying to find a comfortable position in which to sleep.
