I did that for a kid who was all geeked out to buy some plastic sumthinorother. He was short about 80 cents. The old bag at the register scowled at him and told him he couldn't buy it. The kid looked so disappointed, so I forked over a buck and paid the difference. The look on his face was worth the tiny amount of money.

I am always nice to people, especially little kids, and I have noticed the last couple of days people have sort of been beating me to it and being nice to me before I get the chance.

I've been fortunate to experience a great deal of kindness in my life. Why, just the other day I was on the train and had nowhere to sit and this kind man said I could sit on his face if I wanted to. Can you imagine? How sweet.
